Who We Are
Dento Shito Ryu International was founded at the suggestion of the soke Mabuni Kenei (son of the founder Mabuni Kenwa) as a continuation of the Union Shito Ryu Europe, to nurture and vitalize the authentic form of Shito Ryu taught by the Mabuni family.
What We Do
In DSI, Shito Ryu is practiced not as a sport, but as a martial art, preserving the unique techniques and kata applications bequeathed to us by Mabuni Kenwa and his son Mabuni Kenei. This tradition is continued by Mabuni Kenyu, the third soke of Shito Ryu
Our Goals
With the rise of sports karate, the traditional values, techniques and kata applications that are a real treasure for karate practitioners have been eclipsed. Our goal is to introduce Shito Ryu as BUDO karate to as many people as possible around the world.
MASTERS
Soke Mabuni Kenyu
He travels the world as the third soke of Shito Ryu, as a travelling ambassador of karate, who understands and knows both the world of budo karate and sport karate, representing and teaching how the original budo values can help sport performance, how the two systems can complement each other. He is highly respected for his breadth of vision and knowledge, both among practitioners of the WKF system and those seeking traditional budo values.
Carlos Molina 9. Dan
Carlos Molina is first direct student of Mabuni Kenei who, as a non-Japanese, received the 8th dan degree from him. He began practicing Shito Ryu in Guatemala in 1965 under Mabuni Kenei. Later he also studied for many years with Master Hidetoshi Nakahashi and organized the Shito Ryu of Germany. He is currently President of Dento Shito Ryu International.
Anselm Stahl 8. Dan
Anselm Stahl is a direct student of masters Carlos Molina, Hidetoshi Nakahashi and Mabuni Kenei. In addition to his 8th dan degree in Shito Ryu, he holds an 6. Dan Renshi in Muso jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido. He has an excellent knowledge and mastery of the mechanics and healing of the human body.

| Standard summer schedule with intensive morning and evening trainings with lot of time in between for rest and sightseeing. |
| Optional activity is Japanese Kobudo classes held by Host one hour before evening training. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn how to use a Japanese long stick (BO). We adapted the techniques to karate, so it will be very educational and fun.
